HAILEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — UPDATE: According to the Blaine County Sheriff’s Office, 72 William R. Butler was arrested on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at around 4:40 p.m. for Attempted Murder under Idaho State Code 18-4001 and 18-306.

The victim in this case, Michael A. Bosse, a 34-year-old male from Hailey, Idaho, was flown to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise, Idaho on September 2, 2023, and was later transferred to the University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

No further information will be released at this time.

ORIGINAL STORY:The Blaine County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting in Hailey.

Both Blaine County and the Hailey Police Department responded to Lions Park for a welfare check after 11 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023. after someone heard the man calling for help. There they found a person with a gunshot wound, who was transported to the hospital for medical care.

The suspect was allegedly a Caucasian male, driving a grey vehicle.

In an update from the Blaine County Sheriff’s Facebook page, a suspect was arrested in the shooting incident, and the department doesn’t plan on releasing any more details at this time, as this incident is an ongoing investigation.
