BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — New details have been released in Monday night’s shooting death near the west side of the Boise State University campus.

UPDATE (Tuesday, 5:50 p.m.): Guy Lopez II, 24, of Boise has been identified as the victim, according to the Ada County Coroner. He suffered multiple gun shot wounds and after being taken to Saint Alphonsus, doctors in the emergency room could not revive him.

UPDATE: Boise Police have charged Devoune Mosley, 23, Eagle and Matthew Crawford, 22, Boise with first degree murder. Mosley, who’s a convicted felon, also faces an unlawful possession of a weapon charge.

Police say they pair met with the victim on the street or sidewalk on the 1400 block Chrisway Dr. with the intention of robbing him. This address is just off of the BSU campus, according to university officials.

During the attempted robbery, police allege Crawford fired several rounds at the victim, striking him multiple times.

Based on evidence, a white car was seen fleeing the area and patrol officers spotted a vehicle matching the same description in the area of 27th and Main.

As officers were attempting to make a traffic stop, a man left the car and ran away.

Upon further investigation, officers found evidence to indicate the abandoned vehicle was involved in the shooting incident. A perimeter was quickly set up to contain any potential suspects while an area search was conducted.

Nearby residents were asked to shelter in place.

Shortly after, patrol officers spotted the subject who fled the traffic stop running in the area of 30th and Main. Officers were able to stop the suspect and he was taken into custody.

A second suspect was taken into custody near the 3000 block of W. Main St. following a short foot pursuit.

Boise State issued a series of BroncoAlert safety messages after Boise Police was dispatched to the area near the west side of campus. The alerts cautioned anyone near campus to shelter in place while police investigated.

BSU said neither the victim nor the suspects are current students or employees.

The university is offering counseling services at (208) 426-1459. These services are available to any member of the campus community who wishes to utilize them.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office has not released the identity of the victim.

Boise Police responded to a report of shots fired Monday around 11:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Chrisway Dr.

The victim was located and taken to a local hospital where they died from their injuries.

Upon searching the area, police took two suspects into custody.

Chrisway between University and Boise has been closed to traffic as the investigation continues.
