Kole Emplit joined the KMVT family as a sports reporter in May 2023. He received his Bachelor of Arts in journalism and minoring in Data & Analytics and Spanish from The Ohio State University in May.
While at Ohio State, he interned with WJXT in Jacksonville, Florida, during his junior year of college, where he got into the television business.
Kole also serves as a freelance sportscaster. His fondest memories were broadcasting with his school broadcasting group, Scarlet and Gray Sports Radio, where he broadcasted the 2022 Peach Bowl between Georgia and Ohio State and called a game at the famous Cameron Indoor Stadium—the home of the Duke Blue Devils.
A native of Wooster, OH, Kole is very passionate about Cleveland sports and tries to enjoy watching the Browns during football season. In his free time, he enjoys being outside, either paddle boarding or hiking.
