BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — Kimberly Rochelle Haynes, 42, of Colorado Springs, CO, and Shannon L. Porter, 37, of Denver, are behind bars at the Ada County Jail for their role in an alleged retail theft ring that spanned across southern Idaho.

Boise Police arrested Haynes, while Garden City Police picked up Porter, after law court documents reveal they stole merchandise from Walmart on West Overland Road in Boise on Sunday, March 27.

Meanwhile, Boise Police posted on Facebook that the women are involved in other retail thefts in Mountain Home, Nampa, Meridian and Twin Falls.

As of Wednesday evening, Haynes faces eight charges, five counts of burglary and three counts of grand theft. Her bail is set at $650,000. Four of those counts are from out of county warrants. Porter is looking at 10 charges, six counts of burglary and four counts of grand theft with a bail of $850,000. Five of those counts are from out of county warrants.

According to Lt. Craig Stotts of the Twin Falls Police Department, more than $10,000 worth of cell phones and cell phone accessories was stolen from the Twin Falls’ Target and Walmart locations on March 27.

Twin Falls PD is in the process of filing charges. It’s unclear what roles these women had in the local thefts.
